Week 4 – The La Trez Family II – House #7

Romeo, having recently moved out of the La Trez household where his sisters and parents still live, now has his own place where he can do all the wooing he wants.

His most recent conquest was Best Friend Foursay (it was just a fling for both of them; Best Friend got married and had a child in Week 5) He also managed to get Lover Girl Una (also a Romance Sim) to fall in love with him.

Week 4 – The Singko and Seisen Families

Thought I’d report Lade Bach and Nerissa Singko’s child’s stats (Hedon):

Deaths

To date there have been two deaths in Fredeshay.

Smartee Foursay began her sim life as an elder, and died of natural causes. She was *this* close to having a platinum tombstone. In an odd end she left behind the thinking cap she was wearing when she died. She had been doing her favorite thing – walking around the house with Ray’s fingerprint scanner. Smartee held a couple jobs and was a great source of inspiration for her grandchildren, whose mother tragically died while giving birth to the twins. They have never known their mother, and have no idea who their father is. As far as Best Friend and Poppu are concerned, Smartee and Enjoy were their parents, silly as they were in their elderly way.

Enjoy passed away about 4-6 days after his wife, in platinum mood. He truly enjoyed life, and was able to get past his wife’s death and even enjoy life ‘alone.’ He had a brief affair with Lover Girl Una (who seems to be seducing many of the men in Fredeshay) but it was short-lived.

Both sims left at least 25k for their grandchildren and long-time roommate, Ray.

Week 4 – The Foursay and Singko Families

Note: this blog is mainly just for myself…I hate forgetting what happened to my sims and even with album pics, sometimes it’s hard to know what happened. I find dealing with screenshots entirely unappealing at this point, so it’s all text. That’s why I say it’s mostly for me…I have all the pics to look at when I want, mwah ha ha. Actually I’m in the process of putting all pics in the Sims2 photo albums so I can again use the storybook viewer..but even getting the pics in the album in game is a freaking hassle..eventually though, I’ll provide a link to the albums as a whole, but these entries will likely remain their boring selves. 😀

General notes: raising toddlers without a lot of money is extremely draining on sims!! The first week for any families with toddlers was pretty much hell – esp. since there were 3 families with twin toddlers. – WOW!!!

I haven’t documented much from weeks 1-3, but I’ve noted important happenings in some places. (lots of first kisses, lover’s conquests, gaining skills and promotions and the like…you know the drill. Probably didn’t miss much, a lot of it is just helping these kids go to school, get enough sleep, keep up grades, and keep the parents sane!

The Prosperity Challenge

For awhile, I was hesitant to play this challenge – so many families…but a few weeks ago I decided I would go for it.

What luck, I rolled for 6 families!!

I’ve been playing about 3 weeks and often think of things to write about them but, I already have enough blogs and crap, ya know? So this is going to be my little place to keep stats and stuff about them, without taking half of my time to upload pics and all that junk.

Fittingly, the Una family, the first family in the playlist, is the first to have a baby. The Seisen family (sixth in the playlist) are ‘with child’ but haven’t had a baby yet…

I name the children according to what their aspiration is – accordingly I roll for their aspiration at birth, instead of when they grow into a teen. Our newest addition is Babeefaktery. I know, a little crude, but it’s great to be able to keep track of everyone’s aspirations, which really define who they are as people…and I didn’t feel like conventional naming in my challenge. So there.

A few really cool things have happened. In my Singko family, where there is only a single male sim (he just got married in the last round of play, round 3), he won a $75,000 chance card at the end of the first week. I was so happy! At least I could have one sim with a nice posh house. All the other houses have been struggling for a while, especially the ones with kids.

Even with three weeks of play, I don’t think anyone has reached their Platinum yet. I can’t be sure though – one of them might have made it, but I can’t remember who. So far there is one new house added to the playlist – when the La Trez’s eldest son grew into an adult, I had him move out the day of his birthday. The twin girls and parents are still in the house, but it’s difficult enough with a pleasure sim/romance sim being married to each other and twin girls. Phew!

One death so far, in the Foursay family. They started with two elders and two toddlers…I managed to move an adult sim in at the end of the first week, which was a godsend..they finally had some money! Unfortunately, the female elder died – and I was THIS CLOSE to getting her in platinum – she had to put the fingerprint scanner down before the Grim Reaper took her.

All the youngest kids (who started as toddlers) are going to become adults in the fourth round, which I am in the midst of playing.
